The Restore the Horse Foundation supports the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit for the benefit of the citizens of Detroit and Wayne County. <p>The Motor City Horse Force is bringing even more horsepower to town. This nonprofit foundation has come together in support of the <a href="/about-the-mounted-unit">Wayne County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office Mounted Unit</a> &mdash; the only one of its kind in Michigan &mdash; and its twelve trusty steeds. Our group&rsquo;s <a href="/about-the-horse-force/foundation-mission-trustees">mission</a> is to help add more horses to the Mounted Unit for public safety in Southeastern Michigan.
